Over many years the Austrian Metal Scene consisted of the more aggressive metal style like Death and Black Metal.

With the explosion of Nu Metal and Metal Core, the scene seemed to be jaded and stuck in a rut.

Sirens Cry is one of the very first representatives of Austrian Progressive Metal Music.

With their own style and complex arrangements they are considered the vanguard of the progressive/melodic genre in Austria.

It all started when Phil and Katie teamed up to create music which on one side was melodic and accessible and on the other hand showed complexity without sacrificing energy and power.

Joined by Michael on keys and Frederic on Drums a strong team was assembled and in 2010 Sören completed the formation on Bass.

After recording their Demo “Draconian Spectrum” in 2008 the Band started gathering musical material for the first Album “Scattered Horizons”. The Concept consisted of progressive elements combined with classical melodic Influences and heavy pounding riffs and was ready to be produced.

A powerful and convincing Artwork made by Gustavo Sazes fostered the Album and distinguished the title „ Scattered Horizons“.

Over the Months to follow Sirens Cry performed live in Austria at the Escape Metalfest, on  the Headbangersball together withVictor Smolski and Peavey Wagner (Members of Rage), the Night of Power as Co -Headliner and as Local Support for various Bands leading up to their first Headliner Show at the Power Prog & Glam Night.

Scattered Horizons will be released in Spring 2012.
